Hawthorn (Crataegus pinnatifida), belonging to the Rosaceae family, boasts nearly spherical or pear-shaped fruits, measuring 1 to 1.5 centimeters in diameter. These fruits, with their deep red hue adorned with light spots, are abundant in China and beyond. As a premium raw material for hawthorn juice powder, they are rich in organic acids, vitamins, and minerals, imbuing the powder with exceptional nutritional value.
II. Production Process
Raw Material Processing
At the heart of our process, ripe hawthorns are meticulously selected, discarding stems, leaves, and any compromised fruits. These chosen berries are then thoroughly cleansed in flowing water, ensuring the removal of dust, soil, and other surface impurities.
Juicing
Expertly cleaned hawthorns undergo mechanical pressing, efficiently extracting the pure juice from the pulp. Our state-of-the-art equipment ensures optimal pressure is applied to maximize juice extraction. If necessary, we cut the fruits into smaller pieces to enhance this process. The juice is initially separated from fruit pulp residues using advanced filtering devices, guaranteeing purity and quality.
Filtering and Clarifying
Our freshly pressed hawthorn juice may contain minute pulp fibers, seed fragments, and impurities. To ensure a pristine product, our filtering technology meticulously eliminates these elements, delivering clear and transparent hawthorn juice, crucial for the superior quality of our juice powder.
