Freeze-dried orange powder is a food raw material made from fresh oranges through vacuum freeze-drying technology.

Production Process

High-quality oranges, such as Newhall navel oranges, are usually selected as raw materials. After pre-treatments including cleaning, peeling, juicing and filtering, the vacuum freeze-drying (FD) process is adopted. The water in the raw materials is directly sublimated from solid to gas at a low temperature of -35ºC to -40ºC, and finally freeze-dried orange powder is obtained.
Nutritional Components

The freeze-drying process can retain more than 90% of the heat-sensitive substances in oranges, such as vitamin C, flavonoids and sweet orange polysaccharides. These components have physiological effects like antioxidant and immunity-enhancing properties.
