Production Process
Raw Material Selection: Select pineapples with high maturity, good quality, rich aroma, and a well-balanced sweet and sour taste as raw materials to ensure the quality and flavor of the pineapple powder.
Pretreatment: Wash, peel, remove the core and seeds from the pineapples, and then cut them into pieces of appropriate size.
Juicing: Use juicing equipment to extract juice from the pineapple pieces, separating the juice from the pomace.
Filtration and Clarification: Filter the juice to remove impurities, residual pulp, and fibers. Then, methods such as natural clarification or enzyme-assisted clarification can be adopted to obtain clarified pineapple juice.
Concentration: Concentrate the clarified pineapple juice by either atmospheric pressure concentration or vacuum concentration methods to increase the concentration of the juice and reduce the water content.
Spray Drying: Spray-dry the concentrated pineapple juice through high-pressure spray equipment. During the spray-drying process, the juice is sprayed into tiny droplets, which come into full contact with hot air and are quickly dried into a powdery form to form the pineapple powder.
Cooling and Packaging: Cool the dried pineapple powder rapidly and then package it. Usually, it is packaged in a sealed manner, such as in plastic bags, aluminum foil bags, or cardboard drums, to prevent moisture absorption, oxidation, and contamination, making it convenient for storage and sales.
